- Sugar when taken in moderation suits Vata body type.
- Grains, wheat and rice suits Vata body type, but barley, oats, millet should be taken in moderation.
- Fruits are also good for VATA body, but apples, pears, cranberries and dried fruits must be taken in small portions.
Diet plan for KAPHA body type:
It is a body type that has the biggest size, wide shoulders and sturdy frame. It is considered reserve of Strength and Stamina.
- The “KAPHA Dosha” controls all moist tissue of a body and in case of any disturbance body may suffer from flu, asthma and different allergies. However, cold and weather also contributes in Kapha disturbance.
- Most Kapha bodies suffer from sinus congestions.
- Kapha people are slow eaters with slow metabolism.
- To combat sinus congestions Kapha people must include “Garlic” in their diet, to boost metabolism intake of “Guggul” is recommended. Also, an exercise regime is a must to combat with extra fats in the body.
- Kapha people must drink warm beverages and eat less fat.
- Kapha people must limit intake of salt, sugar, red meat and eggs.
Diet plan for PITTA body type:
PITTA body has fire as it ruling character, they are muscular than VATA body types. They are people with soft skin.
- PITTA body can preserve body heat easily.
- PITTA people have soft skin, but their skin has a tendency to develop moles and freckles. Their skin is prone to rashes and acne.
- Pitta people must eat cool and juicy foods which are less acidic, spicy, sour and salty.
- They must drink lots of water and juices to cool down the system.
- Green leafy vegetables (such as broccoli, Brussels-sprouts, asparagus, cabbage, cucumber and corn) suits PITTA body type, while beets, chilies, avocado must be taken in a small portion.
